Hidcote Manor
Located in the northern edge of the Cotswold’s, Hidcote Manor is distinguished as an Arts and Crafts garden. A plant collector’s https://www.cialissansordonnancefr24.com/ garden developed and loved into being over 30 years by Lawrence Johnston, whose philosophy “Plant only the best forms of any plant” is apparent throughout the garden.
It is built with individual garden rooms.
All separated with tall yew hedges. Carefully designed so that a different atmosphere or new vista at each turn.
Some gardens gave completely different impressions depending on the direction it was entered.
Giving the garden a playful feel since you weren’t exactly sure if you had already seen this part or not.
Meadow
At the far edge of the garden a meadow with mowed pathways opens up with serene overlook of the nearby rolling hills of the Cotswold countryside. It had several benches with different contemplative views.
Purple Rain
Cherry and Pear tree petals rain down along with the raindrops leaving the appearance of a pink snow covering the pathways. It gave a kind of wonderland feel that I half expected a rabbit to run across my path.
Trees of multi colored leaves and beautiful blooms fill the gardens at every turn.
Despite being only the beginning of the season and that it rained on my most of the visit, it was a most inspirational garden that I hope to visit again with more time at a later date.
The surrounding countryside was almost as beautiful as the gardens. The Cotswolds have many estates and gardens to visit Cotswold Garden Inspirations.
