Visiting Gardens Around the World for Inspiration
I have always loved to travel the world. I find experiencing new cultures and environments invigorating. I love walking through old villages and cities especially in Europe. Learning about the unique histories and stories of a place as well as unique architecture. I have always enjoyed the parks and unique natural points of interest.
Now I have another obsession when I travel- whether locally, within the state, county and especially internationally, I love visiting gardens wherever I travel. I loved to see the styles and types of plants that they find interesting enough to include. From large botanical gardens, arboretums as well as smaller public gardens- especially ones that demonstrate a particular local style or plant types. I find inspirations and learn so much from their designers, experience new innovative plant combinations, unique constructions that I can bring back to my clients gardens sometimes directly or indirectly
Over the years I have set goals to visit a certain number gardens. I have taken hundreds if not thousands of pictures of the gardens and plants and the unique elements, but I never recorded my reflections, thoughts and inspirations upon visiting. So this year I decided to share my visits to show gardens, botanical gardens, as well as garden tours ( whether organize or one I just do while I am visiting an area).
Of course the biggest challenge in this is limited all my images to share but please come travel with me to gardens far and wide and enjoy!
